Promoters FKP Scorpio and Wizard Promotions, along with Stuttgart festival Jazz Open, were among the winners as more than 1,400 guests attended the PRG Live Entertainment Awards, recognising the achievements of the last 12 months.

Held at Festhalle Frankfurt on 9 April the event saw awards presented in 15 categories, across Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

“To promote concerts has become much more difficult, as there is more competition, more artistes on tour – as it is their main source of income – and costs are rising on all sides,” says event founder and executive producer Prof. Jens Michow.

“But there is no doubt live is still working well and that is what we celebrate, while focusing on the many facets and diversity of the business.”

Stadium Tour of the Year was won by the Rolling Stones for their No Filter Tour, promoted by FKP, while Wizard was awarded Concert of the Year for Aerosmith’s performance at Munich’s Königsplatz, and Festival of the Year went to Jazz Open, promoted by Opus.
