Beatbox gets noisey

Promoter Beatbox Entertainment is aiming to extend the festival season into the winter with the inaugural Noisey (cap. 3,500) at Copenhagen’s Tap 1.

The indoor event, held on 2-3 November, will feature 20 acts performing across the venues two halls.

“We’ll have a mix of some known headliners and rising stars,” says Beatbox’s Xenia Grigat, who believes by collaborating with festival partner Vice Media greater interest has been generated.

“Agents and labels can see that the various channels that Vice offers can give their acts more media exposure than they might otherwise receive.”

She adds that if everything goes to plan there is plenty of room for the festival to grow.

“It could potentially go to other cities, or expand in size,” says Grigat.

Beatbox also books acts for Northside (30,000) and Tinderbox (40,000).

Among acts set to play Noisey are Sigrid, Jungle, Nines and Stella Donnelly.
