Boutique beach festival for ravers

Festival News
November 26, 2019

A NEW boutique electronic and dance music festival is to be launched in the coastal town of Dhermi next year.

The 3,000-capacity ION festival is being organised by UK-based London Warehouse Event (LWE), the company behind the country’s Junction 2 (cap. 12,000) festival and scheduled to take place on 2–9 September.

“ION re-conceptualises what an overseas festival experience can be, where friends can enjoy cultural, food and wellness events in the glorious summer sun,” says a statement from the organisers.

“It’s a chance for a limited number of like-minded music lovers to come together, to rave among the ruins and dance under the stars. When the days spent exploring or relaxing are done, the night-time fun beckons guests into new worlds where their favourite electronic artists will play in settings precisely calibrated to immerse them in the moment.”

The line-up and ticket prices have yet to be announced.
