In spite of country-wide snow and official warnings for the public to stay at home, international events and live music trade fair The Event Production Show (EPS) attracted 3,700 visitors.

Held at London’s Olympia the event showcased products and services of live music businesses including Star Events, GL Events and ID&C, with seminar speakers including Stuart Galbraith of promoter Kilimanjaro Live, Colin Chapple of AEG and Dave Steele of Isle of Wight Festival (cap. 55,000).

Event director Duncan Siegle says, although attendance was below the expected 5,000 to 6,000, “The dedication of buyers from across the UK won through and the quality of the audience was there. The 2017 show delivered an extraordinary number of visitors and everything pre-show was pointing to another record breaking year. The weather situation was extremely frustrating and out of our control.

“We saw some outstanding displays from exhibitors as well as an extremely diverse range of buyers from across the event spectrum. We’ve also had numerous messages from those who couldn’t make it asking for information about the programme that they missed.”
