Arctic Monkeys are back on-the-road in support of sixth studio album Tranquillity Base Hotel & Casino, which is the Sheffield group’s sixth consecutive No 1 in the UK.
The band kicked off the first leg of their tour in the US on 2 May at the San Diego Observatory (cap. 1,100), where they performed material from the new album for the first time.
The overall tour consists of 32 North American dates and 41 across Europe, including a UK arena tour in September, with shows include two nights at Manchester Arena (21,000), two nights at Arena Birmingham (15,892), four at Sheffield’s FlyDSA Arena (13,674) and four at London’s The O2 (21,000).
“The reception the band have received, both in the US and Europe this summer, has been overwhelming,” says the band’s manager Ian McAndrew, CEO of Wildlife Entertainment.
“Their appearance at TRNSMT [50,000, sold-out] in Glasgow was a particular highlight and we are hugely looking forward to continuing our tour of the UK in September.”
Arctic Monkeys are represented by live agents Robby Fraser and Kirk Sommer at William Morris Endeavour in the US for North America and Charlie Myatt at 13 Artists in the UK for the rest of the world.
