Feldman sells to his two presidents

Agency pioneer Sam Feldman has sold his company, The Feldman Agency (TFA), to president Jeff Craib and vice-president Tom Kemp.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 1971 and with 19 agents in its Toronto office – where Craib and Kemp are based – and eight in Vancouver. TFA’s roster of Canadian artistes includes Bryan Adams, Barenaked Ladies, Diana Krall, April Wine, David Foster, Michael Bublé, Paul Anka and Our Lady Peace.

International acts represented for Canada include Elvis Costello, Midnight Oil, Everlast, Nick Carter and John Fogerty.

Craib joined the agency, then called SL Feldman & Associates in 1993 and became president in 2013. Kemp has been with the agency since 1998, and was appointed vice-president in 2015.

Feldman is becoming increasingly involved with A&F Music, the full service artiste management group he runs with manager Bruce Allen.

“Our management companies, which are international in nature, are growing at a pace that requires more hands-on time,” Feldman tells Audience. “Our intention is to continue to expand efforts in that area of representation.

“Therefore, it seemed timely to repurpose some energy while leaving the agency in good hands.”

A&F Music companies manages acts such as James Taylor, Elvis Costello, Diana Krall, Bryan Adams, Sarah McLachlan, Michael Buble and Lyle Lovett.
