PAN-EUROPE promoter and festival organiser FKP Scorpio has acquired a majority stake in Oslo-based independent agency Nordic Live, strengthening its Norwegian division.

Nordic Live was founded in 2017 by Erica Leypoldt, previously with Live Nation Norway, Kim Nordbæk (Ultimat Artist), Ottar Schanke Eikum (Mentometer) and Joël Schwalenstöcker (TimeOut Agency), and represents over 60 domestic and international artistes.

“Their local artiste roster will complement our portfolio and will strengthen FKP Scorpio’s importance  for the Norwegian music scene as a reliable partner,” says FKP Scorpio executive director Folkert Koopmans.

Nordic Live’s founders say in a joint statement, “We have been able to carve out a decent slice of the Norwegian market in just a few years, as one of the very few remaining independents. We have done everything ourselves and in our own way, but this was the right partnership to take the company to the next level.”

Gabrielle, Margaret Berger and Kurt Nilsen are among the artistes represented by Nordic Live.

Since launching in 2018, FKP Scorpio Norway has promoted artistes such as Bon Iver, Tame Impala and Biffy Clyro.
