Frankfurt is to be the location for one of the largest indoor arenas in Europe.

Canadian developer and venue management company The Katz Group say The Dome will have the biggest arena capacity in the country, at 23,000, as well as convention facilities and a hotel.

The €300 million ($327.1m) development is located next to Frankfurt Airport.

The largest indoor arena in what is Germany’s fifth-largest city, is the Festhalle, which can hold 13,500 for concerts.

Katz Group manages Canada’s 20,734-capacity Rogers Place in Edmonton.
