January 29, 2020

LIVE NATION Entertainment (LNE) has acquired a majority stake in Santiago-based concert promoter DG Medios, following similar deals across Latin America.

The company, founded and run by Carlos Geniso, who will continue to oversee operations, has co-promoted tours with LNE for artistes including Bruno Mars, Harry Styles and Depeche Mode.

“Teaming up with Live Nation will give us access to resources that will be instrumental in growing our substantial roster of shows even further,” says Geniso.

LNE president and CEO Michael Rapino says, “DG Medios is another important step in expanding our footprint across Latin America.”

Recent LNE acquisitions across Central and South America include OCESA in Mexico, DF Entertainment in Argentina and Brazil’s Rock in Rio (cap. 80,000).
