SOUTH KOREA

Live Nation Entertainment (LNE) will book talent for a new entertainment resort after signing a multi-year partnership with Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment (MGE).

The $5 billion development in Incheon, 27km west of the capital Seoul, is expected to open in 2021 and will include the 15,000-capacity Inspire Super Arena.

The complex will also feature a luxury hotel, retail outlets, gambling facilities and an outdoor performance space.

The two companies have already worked together in the US, on the Mohegan Sun Arena (cap. 10,000) in Uncasville, Connecticut, since 2001.

“We have been thrilled by the success of what Live Nation and Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment have built together through the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville and are excited to continue this partnership through Project Inspire.” Says LNE president international and emerging markets Alan Ridgeway.

“Touring throughout northern Asia has grown significantly over the last few years, and the addition of the Inspire Super Arena can only continue to enhance that growth.”
