Live Nation Entertainment (LNE) has acquired a majority stake in mid-size venue operator, concert and festivals promoter Embrace Presents, which operates in the Toronto area.

Founded in 2001 by Adam Gill, Embrace started as an electronic music promoter, and now has a venue portfolio that includes the 1,425-capacity Danforth Music Hall and Velvet Underground (cap. 400).

“Embrace has grown to become one of Toronto’s most influential leader in live events,” says Live Nation Canada (LNC) chairman Riley O’Connor. “We will work with them on new events and utilise their ingenuity and promotion tactics to further strengthen our presence in the marketplace.”

LNC’s venue portfolio in the city includes the 20,000-capacity Budweiser Stage, formerly known as Molson Canadian Amphitheatre.
