Logic dictates full immersion

Rapper Logic used multiple LED screens to create multi-layered immersive content according to Aron Altmark, creative director of Visual Endeavors, who designed production and programming for the artiste’s Bobby Tarantino vs Everybody tour.

Built around a five metre-square riser centre stage, with lighting and lasers overhead, plus a 15m by 7.7m upstage LED surface and side IMAG screens, the production visited venues including America’s Madison Square Garden (cap. 20,800) in New York and The Forum (17,500) in Los Angeles, with a UK date at London’s Alexandra Palace (10,400).

“Our brief was to create an architectural environment for Logic to perform in, on, and around,” says Altmark. “This comprised technical elements that allow for reactive and immersive experiences for the audience and performers alike. All of the lighting, video and content combine to create a unified canvas.”

Altmark used two Avolites Ai servers to drive the content, featuring Intel i7 eighth generation hexacore processors coupled with Nvidia GTX 1080Ti GPUs and PCIe solid-state memory.
