IN A move organisers say is to improve the customer experience, the Mad cool festival in Madrid is cutting its site capacity by 25 per cent, from 80,000 to 60,000.

It is also adding an fourth day, a seventh stage and expansion of the catering and relaxation area.

“All the changes that we are making in the last edition and for this next edition are destined to improve the experience of our clients,” Mad Cool’s Javier Arnaiz tells Audience.

“It is vital for the growth of the festival to try to achieve excellence for customers, satisfactory results for the sponsors of the festival and establish a firm foundation of what we want Mad Cool to be in the medium-term future. All our effort is aimed at achieving these objectives.”

Among headliners confirmed for the 8-11 July event are Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and Tove Lo. Tickets have yet to go on sale, but cost €175 ($191) for this year’s festival.
