The live music industry made 17 September Alerta Roja (Red Alert) day, with protests across 28 cities.
Music venues were lit up in red as part of the global #WeMakeEvents campaign, designed to highlight that events industry workers urgently need government support.
The demonstrations, which gained widespread media coverage, saw hundreds of events workers carrying flightcases, while wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.
Among the venues to take part was Madrid’s 15,000-capacity Palacío Vistalegre arena.
