October 31, 2018

Olympia Production, a subsidiary of global media conglomerate Vivendi, has acquired the 45,000-capacity Gararock festival, one of the country’s largest music events.

Launched in 1997, Gararock is located in Marmande, in the south-west, and is held over four days in June.

Olympia Productions, which was established in 2016, already owns Les Déferlantes (cap. 12,000), held in Argelès-sur-Mer.

This year’s line-up included Macklemore, Marilyn Manson, Indochine, and Charlotte Gainsbourg, with next year’s due to be announced in December.

Olympia Production promotes more than 1,000 events annually and well as representing around 35 artistes exclusively, among them Clara, Luciani, Hervé, Nazim and Infinit’.
