MULTINATIONAL FESTIVAL brand Primavera Sound has signed an exclusive deal with UK-based digital ticketing platform DICE, marking its move into the market.
The deal will see DICE provide mobile-only tickets for Primavera Sound Festival (cap. 55,000) and club night Nitsa at Sala Apolo (1,600) – both in Barcelona, Primavera Tours and Portugal’s 30,000-capacity NOS Primavera Sound Festival in Porto.
Already established in the Australia, France, Italy, the UK and US, the DICE app contains anti ticket touting technology that locks tickets to the customer’s smartphone, preventing resale.
“Top security features for the fan and the promoter, a great user experience, dedicated service to customers and the suppression of all use of paper in the process make DICE the perfect ticketing partner,” says Primavera Sound founder Pablo Soler.
DICE CEO Phil Hutcheon adds, “Primavera are again leading by example – this time to eliminate scalping [touting] while offering their fans the best ticket buying experience possible.”
The 20th edition of Primavera Sound takes place in Barcelona on 4-6 June, with tickets priced from €190 ($208).
