Regional promoter Move Concerts has launched a talent agency with the ambition of helping to establish a roster of acts across South America.

Move has partnered with management and booking agency WorkShow, along with Brazilian entrepreneur Marcus Buaiz, who will be responsible for branding and sponsorships, to create WMM.

The company aims to provide artistes with a complete agency service, including bookings, sponsorship and social media support.

“We plan to improve the professionalism of a market known for its peculiar and challenging characteristics,” says Pepeu Correa, who will head WMM. “Our roster of artistes will be able to rely on a company structure and support rarely seen before in Brazil.”

Founded 10 years ago by Wander Divino de Oliveria, WorkShow represents artistes such as Marilia Mendonca and Henrique and Juliano.

Move, which has shows with Katy Perry at Arena do Grêmio (cap. 55,000) and Depeche Mode at Allianz Parque (55,000), both in Sao Paulo, also has offices in Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru and Puerto Rico.

“We bring not only our extensive touring experience in South America to the table, but also, with our offices throughout the region, the possibility of assisting some of our artistes to become established in these markets as well as in Brazil,” says Move CEO Phil Rodriguez.
