Rockville to give its biggest welcome

Festival News
December 7, 2017

The 40,000-capacity Welcome To Rockville festival will grow from two to three days for its eighth edition.

Taking place at Metropolitan Park in Florida the event runs from 27-29 April, with Ozzy Osborne, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age and Avenged Sevenfold among the performers.

“Since Welcome To Rockville’s inception seven years ago, I have been building towards this day,” says festival producer and creator Danny Wimmer of promoter Danny Wimmer Presents (DWP).

“To bring not just the biggest rock festival in Jacksonville [or even Florida], but the biggest rock line-up in the United States to my hometown, this is a triumph for me, my company and the city that I love.”

Acts playing at this year’s festival included Def Leppard, A Perfect Circle and Soundgarden. Tickets for the festival cost $189.

DWP is also behind US festivals such as Rock On The Range, Aftershock, Carolina Rebellion and Louder Than Life.
