World News
April 16, 2018

A total of 257 shows by 106 acts which are part of the European Talent Exchange Programme (ETEP) have been booked for the forthcoming festival season.

ETEP, which has a showcase element at the Netherlands` Eurosonic Noorderslag conference and music festival in January, helps emerging artistes to access new markets they would not otherwise reach as quickly.

Currently leading the bookings chart is UK act Superorganism with 13 bookings, followed by Switzerland’s Zeal and Ardour (with 12) and Norway’s Sigrid (8).

Seven more events have also joined the programme this year, including Finland’s Tuska Open Air (cap. 15,000) and industry showcase events Canadian Music Week and the UK’s Focus Wales, taking the number of events involved to 116.

Last year an overall 411 performances were booked through ETEP.
