AEG Facilities has promoted Pär Bergman from its Stockholm Live venue management division to become general manager of the new 10,000-capacity Vaudoise Aréna in Lausanne, due to open in August.

Bergman spent seven years at AEG’s Swedish operation, which manages Stockholm’s Ericsson Globe (cap. 16,000), Tele2 Arena (40,000), Hovet (9,000) and Annexet (3,400). His most recent role was senior key account manager, responsible for the local sports teams’ business at the venues.

He has relocated to Switzerland for the new role, which began on 1 May.

Also joining the Vaudoise Aréna team is Florian Seitz, who transfers from his job at Berlin’s 18,000-capacity Mercedes Benz Arena, to become events manager.
