Whoa Dad joins FKP Scorpio family

PAN-EUROPE promoter and festival organiser FKP Scorpio has acquired 100 per cent of Swedish independent promoter Whoa Dad Live (WDL), which works with artiste such as Robyn, Post Maloneand ASAP Rocky.

WDL will continue to operate under its own name, with the two companies jointly producing all future events. WDL executives Niklas Lundell and Joel Borg become shareholders and board members in FKP Scorpio Sweden.

“FKP Scorpio has a stable backbone and a well organized structure that will be perfect for us now when growing and taking more ground over here.

We’ll bring new ideas and many years of experience in the Scandinavian market into our partnership,” says MD Lundell.

FKP Scorpio. executive director Folkert Koopmans, based in Germany, adds, “We have a lot to look forward to and are happy to welcome new members to the FKP Scorpio family.”

The partners worked together on four sell-out shows in June for Håkan Hellström at Gothenburg’s Ullevi Stadium (cap. 70,000), and have two sell-out stadium shows wit Rammstein next year.

FKP Scorpio Sweden was formed in 2011 and works with acts such as Radiohead, Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran.
